The Story of Home

September often arrives with a sense of fresh beginnings. A time of change; of new terms or projects, a return to work, or perhaps a challenging departure. A recent online discussion had me thinking about the periodic changes many of us make in our online worlds. 'These worlds are a hotline to the subconscious, an amazing tool for learning and growth.' Luna Bliss InWorldz forum post.

A good book about these feelings in autumn is Tove Jansson's Moominvalley in November. She explains how 'There are those who stay at home and those who go away, and it has always been so.' Snuffkin chooses to go 'with a hop, skip and a jump.' The Fillyjonk chooses to stay, until disaster strikes and her possibilities are altered.
Either way Home is where we start from. When we set out or build our virtual homes what do our choices reveal if we choose to ponder them? Are some of the ideas chosen in the naming of these objects?
And a blog challenge: What view do you choose to have from your window?

Those "Back To ..." Blues

When I saw Moontan Valeeva's new Tiny outfit, 'Back to School Blues', the dogged angle of the knitted beret and the resolute straps of the satchel struck chords clanging away right now for me. Time to shoulder that giant school backpack and feel small again.
The humour and sheer fun are apparent in the caring, tender detail.
So how do we combat those end of summer-vacation blues? A visit to Alexina Proctor's Community Library on Delphi gave me just that surge of inspiration and hope that September always needs.
This is an amazing project that I was grateful to have found through the Forum post  InWorldz book Event..
Prax Maryjasz, who assisted with the design, explained the idea for a community meeting area. I was happy to try out several of her seating areas and have a feeling this could become a favourite literary chat spot.
